                             Fact No. 1

Dolphins call one another by names.

Similar to how people use names, they identify each other with distinctive whistle signatures.

With the help of these whistles, which they can learn to identify particular members of their pod, these animals are able to communicate in a way that involves individual recognition.

According to this capacity, dolphins have an extremely high degree of social complexity and intellect among all animals.
